Toyota continues to wow Canadians, this time as one of Canada’s most trusted passenger car manufacturers for sixth straight year according to the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand™ survey. The Reader’s Digest survey studied Canadian opinions on what brands were the most trustworthy. The study conducted included thirty seven product categories, with over 2500 completed surveys. This sample is considered to reflect the majority of Canadians.
For the past six years Reader’s Digest conducts a survey and every time Toyota has proven successful. Beating out some tough competitors, Toyota has proven itself once again as a trustworthy household name. The year 2014 marks the sixth consecutive year as most trusted passenger car manufacturer; but Toyota also took the title of most trusted hybrid car manufacturer for the fourth year in a row.
The news doesn’t come as a shock, since Toyota has recently been honoured in headlines for its Star safety system which has earned the company over a dozen 2013 IIHS Safety Top Safety Pick awards. Toyota has also received industry praise for its value from ALG, Canadian Black Book, Kelley Blue Book, and more; as well as recognition from National Resources Canada for best-in-class fuel efficiency.
