West Coast Toyota Supports Canadian Kids

West Coast Toyota is proud to support Canadian kids by donating to GoodLife Fitness’s annual Spin4Kids event. The Pitt Meadows community was able to raise over $9,000 to benefit Canadian kids by helping them live a fit and healthy life.

The Spin4Kids event is an indoor spin-a-thon fundraiser hosted at GoodLife Fitness Clubs coast to coast, with all proceeds going to the GoodLife Kids Foundation Grant Program. This foundation “has provided grants that have contributed to programs supporting active lives of over 200,000 children across Canada. [This] Grant Program primarily focuses on initiatives that provide the opportunity for sustainable behavioral change in the area of physical activity.” The grant program helps organizations like Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Girls on the Run, and even local elementary schools.

The GoodLife Kids Foundation Grant Program has even been hard at work in our own community. Since the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows communities are quite rural, which requires regular commuting, the cost to partake in organized sports can be expensive. In 2011 the incredible fundraising efforts of Pitt Meadows Meadowtown GoodLife Fitness Club members and staff during the 2011 Be A Kid’s Superhero Campaign earned KidSport Maple Ridge a grant that will make it possible for kids to participate in organized sports by offsetting some of the costs required to participate.

At West Coast Toyota we take pride in supporting the children of our community learn to live a healthy active lifestyle. For more information on the GoodLife Kids Foundation and how you can make a difference, please contact Lisa Burrows:
